a Beautiful Day In Boston

And Leah & Jake’s sustainable and love filled Wedding at Artists for Humanity, Boston.

A ten out of ten summer day in Boston- there really is nothing better. I flipping love our little city. When Leah & Jake approached me to capture their wedding day, they were really wanting to make their day their own, which I totally love and appreciate. With the focus on having lots of time set aside to take photos together, I knew we were going to create some wedding day magic. The weather, as I am sure you all remember, was a bit touch and go last year. Waking up to such a 10/10 gorgeous day in Boston was such a treat. The couples venue, Artists For Humanity, is a fantastic non-profit that supports teens interested in careers in the arts (which Imean, hello I love this so much.) It is full of art and light and just the best vibes. But- most excitedly, it’s just a spectacularly cool looking building and space in a fantastic area of Boston. Greenery meets industrial meets skyline, I absolutely flipped when the beautiful blue sky hit the reflection in the glass facade. The cement facade made for such a fun backdrop that gave such a perfect contrast between the pops of blue in the skyline. The gorgeous florals by Two Stems of Joy somehow perfectly mimicked the whole day- pops of blue and pink against gorgeous greenery. The flower arch almost imitating the whole day outside. Ironically delightful.

I absolutely love the idea of being eco conscious with weddings. As anyone who has gotten married, there are so many small little details that not only add up, but eventually get chucked. Sustainable weddings are gaining popularity as couples prioritize eco-conscious choices for their special day. From choosing locally sourced and organic catering options to opting for digital invitations instead of paper, there are numerous ways to reduce the environmental impact of a wedding. Leah worked alongside the wonderful staff at Glo Bridal to pick her wedding dress. Glo Bridal, which is located in Newton, MA is such a gem. Each dress they carry has been ethically sourced from independent designers, making their dresses not only unique but a fantastic and sustainable option for anyones wedding day.
