Outdoor Newborn Portraits
In the greater Newburyport area. what? you came here to get this location? Never gonna happen! ;)
A nice location is like a nice bottle of cheap wine. Hard to find, always hits a little different, and takes a lot of time to discover. I love the little area that I live in and all of the endless opportunities to take little break up the day sanity walks. This particular location I found many many years ago when I had a tiny little Wyatt who absolutely would not sleep unless we drove around. We traveled north, we traveled south, and when he finally woke up it was always better for both of our mental health to get out and do a little walkie. And on this day, with an ever so slightly fussy newborn (as seen below), we again went for a little walkie. I always prep my parents for newborn sessions by saying that I expect your baby to act like a baby. And when I say I am not phased by any of it, I genuinely mean it. The thing about babies as anyone who owns one knows, is that they will communicate their displeasure in the only way they know how to. By at times freaking the f out. We move through it. We do all the things. I expect your tiny baby to be baby level irritated at one point or another. The Libby’s- who are no stranger to things going slightly awry during outdoor newborn sessions (if you have heard my projectile vomit baby story…) were just such troopers as little miss Charolette here was lightly unamused. We pivoted, we hung around and waited her little self out, and then we captured some of the most lovely, wind swept, is this Ireland or New England portraits. And I am so excited for you to see them.
Also- can you pick out the shot that Archie took? It’s the cutest.
As always,
