A summer evening well spent at the beach

I am so excited to start sharing some big ole’ galleries with everyone, and if you followed along and voted (thank you thank you) it was a resounding yell for more family content on the blog! Ask and you shall receive! I love these photos so much and I am so excited to share them. They are a perfect look at how family portrait sessions go. Part of my little pep talk going into these family sessions is encouraging parents to let their kids explore and run around and be adventurous and wild (gasp! I know!) The Wilk family came on to the beach and just embraced the chaos. And what we got in return were gorgeous authentic happy kids being silly and fun and a little nuts, and so many genuine and happy little faces showing off their personalities. Coming from the parental end of things, I know how stressful it is going into anything with kids where you want them to dress nice and follow directions. It’s a recipe for a stress festival. But I promise, letting go a little bit and just letting them be silly doesn’t bother me in the least. I expect kids who get to go to the beach in the evening in the middle of the week will be absolutely flipping excited. I want big laughs and big movements to help your kids warm up to me so we can see their cute little faces all happy and wild and free.
