Newbury Street Engagement Pictures
with a pop into one of bostons coziest spots: City Bar Boston at the Lenox Hotel
Winter timeee is hereeee! And maybe we don’t go into every January feeling particularly excited about the weather and the general vibe of post holiday gray days, but this is your little reminder that we live in a classic New England state, with one of the cuter cities in the country a car ride away. I love Boston, if you’ve ever ready through any of my posts I’m always waxing poetic about our cute little capital city. But there is just something about Boston in the winter that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, even if it’s like 18 degrees out. The days may be short and cold this time of year, but sometimes letting the buildings and the street traffic do the talking is a little more exciting with the leaves missing from the trees. Walking across Commonwealth Ave as the sun lazily starts to set amongst the Brownstones, with the smallest dusting of snow is near perfection in my opinion. We were able to hide from the cold for a few in one of Bostons historically cozy hotels (big thank you to the Lenox Hotel, more specifically the wonderful team over at City Bar, which has sadly closed its doors after 20 or so odd years) to warm up- have a cocktail or two- and cut into a little “we’re getting married in a year” cake.
If you google warm and cozy Boston winter engagement pictures, you should see these first. We might have froze a little, might have had to photoshop out some very serious looking runners, but I love these pictures so much. I love any excuse to visit the city, and just looking through these reminds me that I am overdue for a night out downtown with old friends.
Happy Winter everyone- I will be packing the feed with so much winter inspiration in these next few weeks- so stay tuned for more prettiness!
